Ejected GT on desk aside a TiBook. This is a regular type II card with a built-in antenna and connector for external antennas. GT in an MP2100; the GT is recognised as a communications card and activated upon insertion.

Read more about the NIE script and the regular modem script for the MP.
The GT in slot 1of a Wallstreet at the same time as slot 2 holds a Lucent/Orinoco HP Invent WLAN card - both fit and work simultaneously! Active/inserted GT in a Ti with folded out antenna. The reception is 5 times better with the antenna than without. Small footprint with folded antenna - way more space efficient than the NCP 2 and others. GT and Lucent WLAN in slot 1 and 2 respectively. Don't forget to switch off the power to any unemployed card in the energy saver preference control.

There is now also a newer model of the GlobeTrotter with built-in WLAN (802.11b) - the GlobeTrotter Combo.
Apart from the WLAN function, the new card has the same form factor and functions as the original GlobeTrotter.
Note that this new card is not compatible to the Newton MessagePad and would require special drivers.
